What’s Happening this month in Saskatoon?
The holidays are over and it’s time to celebrate all the time you have free from obligatory holiday parties! How are you going to fill your time? We have some suggestions!
Winterruption is a five-day festival that includes 8 indoor venues, 20+ shows and outdoor events. The shows include musical acts, comedians, theatre, and dance. Some of the headliners are Weaves, Begonia, and Whitehorse. For lineup and ticket information click here!
Nutrien WinterShines – January 25th to February 2nd
WinterShines is a 9-day festival that happens at the end of January. This year it runs from January 25th to February 2nd. It includes a ton of events including a soup cook-off, a snow park, and ice carving. Check out details here!

Snowball Fights and Yukigassen – Varying Dates
Yukigassen is the sport of snowball fighting! A fast-paced, outdoor winter team sport, teams consist of 7 players, and the game has rules similar to dodgeball and capture the flag.
Play Sask will be organizing tournaments on Sundays until March 29th and only when there is enough snow and the temperatures hit the sweet spot! To find out more join the facebook Yukigassen group here.
The Wolves – The Refinery Arts and Spirit Centre – Varying Dates
A girls’ indoor soccer team warms up. From the safety of their stretch circle, nine girls question and navigate the world around them. This provocative play, nominated for a 2017 Pulitzer Prize, captures the raw beauty of adolescence as these bright, vulnerable, goofy young women learn to manoeuvre the game, their lives, and a growing understanding of a complicated world.

LUGO – January 11th
On January 11, Saskatoon’s biggest art party and fundraiser returns to Remai Modern. Now in its 10th year, LUGO allows guests to see the museum in new ways and experience one-of-a-kind performances and installations. Plus, all proceeds support museum programming throughout the year.
